Introducing RaceForCharity PR & Corporate Hospitality Manager
July 11, 2010Cheryle Hoath moved to England in 1999 from Canada where she was employed as a Power Engineer. She specialized in natural gas and steam turbine generated electrical power plant operations and was the first female engineer employed by The City of Medicine Hat Utilities Company.
When Cheryle began her new life in England, she also decided to make a career change. She began working for the Benefits Agency in 2000 as an Administrative Officer. Cheryle quickly gained promotion and within one year became an Executive Officer running a small team who were responsible for Child Support Agency Estates alongside Health and Safety for the UK. During her time with CSA Estates she completed studies in Management, Advice and Guidance as well as completing a Diploma in Counselling. It was then that she made the decision to specialise in advising people with disabilities on how to gain and retain employment.
In 2006 Cheryle was recruited by the Northamptonshire County Council as a Senior officer working in the role as Employment development Officer. Cheryle currently manages a caseload of 45-60 clients with varying degrees of disability. In her role she liaises closely with several employers giving advice on adjustments and matters of Employment Law. Cheryle is currently studying towards a Law Degree.
Cheryle’s interest in aviaition began in 2005 when she met Mike Hannaford. Mike and Cheryle initially began organizing trips to different locations for friends and family. Cheryle has been responsible for making all arrangements for both flights and accomodation for trips as well as having a familiarity with the local areas that are visited. Alongside this Cheryle has gained over 100 hours as a navigator in the PA32.
In 2009 Cheryle was approached by the Cervelo Test Team Travel Company to host VIP’s at the Tour de France. This enabled her to further build her skills in corporate hospitality. This has resulted in a further invitation in 2010 by Sports Tours International to again provide Corporate Hospitality to clients who are attending the Etape in Pau in July 2010 during the Tour de France.
Cheryle’s attention to detail and ability to ensure clients are cared for in an executive manner make her a valuable member to the race for charity team.

July 11, 2010RaceForCharity.co.uk is a Partnership between Vanilla Thinking and Hannaford Close Protection Services Ltd. The focus for this partnership is raise funds and awareness to the charity Help for Heros. In order to achieve this we will be looking for corporate sponsorship to help in the direct operating cost of G-RHHT. There are various corporate packages available. The aircraft will participate in all of the Royal Aero Club Races for 2011.
For the sponsors this means that their corporate Logo/Branding will be applied to the Aircarft for the Entire Season – Normally March-September. Then in September the Prize Money and extra funding will be presented to Help for Heros.
All monies raised in excess of operating costs along with Prize Money will be donated to the Help for Heros charity as this is close to Mike’s heart. For every £1 that is donated to Help for Heros £1.10 will go directly to helping wounded service men and women. H4H spend every penny possible on making grants that aim to provide practical, direct support for our wounded.
”It’s about the blokes, our men and women of the Armed Forces. It’s about Derek, a rugby player who has lost both his legs, it’s about Carl whose jaw is wired up so he has been drinking through a straw. It’s about Richard who was handed a mobile phone as he lay on the stretcher so he could say goodbye to his wife. It’s… about Ben, it’s about Steven and Andy and Mark, it’s about them all. They are just blokes but they are our blokes; they are our heroes. We want to help our heroes.”
